If you are reading this article then you probably have asked yourself at some point in your life, “Do I have what it takes to become an author?”

I believe that successful authors, those who actually write and finish that novel, or book of poetry, or even that book of short stories, and see it all the way to publication, have certain characteristics.

Characteristics of Authors

1. They like to sit for hours in front of a computer screen (or with pen and paper), typing (writing) away.

2. They think about their book, even when they’re not writing.

3. They are motivated to finish their book.

4. They are motivated to proofread, edit and revise their finished book until it is the best it can be.

5. They are motivated to publish their book.

6. Once they publish the first book, they are already working on the next one.

If you answered yes to anyone of the above, then you have a good chance of attaining your dreams of becoming an author. Don’t listen to those people who say it’s a competitive market out there. Don’t listen to those people who say they’ve written five books and haven’t had one published yet. And don’t listen to those people who send you back your manuscripts! Listen to yourself. Listen to that inner voice, the one that is whispering now. But wait until you get started. Once your book is written and published, that inner voice will be roaring! And the whole world will hear about it.

I know, I know. I tend to be the optimist. But we have so many pessimists in the book business, we sure need some more optimists around!

For you, the novice writer who would like to start writing that first book, the best way to begin is to start writing. Yes, just sit down and do it. Stop the other activities, the television, the reading, the shopping, the chatting on the telephone, and find the time to devote at least one hour a day to writing.

What’s one hour a day in the scheme of things? It comes and goes like this, poof! What do you have to show after an hour of television? A lazy yawn? If that same hour were spent on writing, then there would be a product in your hands, something that will be shared, hopefully, one day with others.

So, go ahead, shut the door to the rest of the world for one hour (or more) and make yourself comfortable in front of the computer screen (or pen and paper). Let’s take the first step to becoming an author.

How To Begin

Foundation

Just like a construction company which builds a foundation to a home, you also need to prepare a foundation for your career in writing. Don’t skip this step, it’s important.

Your “foundation” will consist of basic writing skills. Remember those English courses you took in high school and college? If you don’t remember anything from those courses, then it wouldn’t be a bad idea if you found your old English textbooks, dusted them off a bit, and looked through their pages to refresh your memory.

If you haven’t taken any courses in creative writing, you might consider signing up for one. Check with your local community college. They often offer weekend and evening classes, and sometimes even online classes. If you’re on a budget, then visit the public library and sign out books relevant to writing.

In addition, it would be very useful to join a writing group (online or in your local area) that critiques your work and gives you the opportunity to critique also. The group provides wonderful support and an avenue to sharpen your skills as you gain experience in writing, as well as exposure to other people’s writing. For example, Writing. com is a good example of an online resource that provides many opportunities to share your writing, and get your work rated and reviewed. If you want to join a critique or review group, it offers that also.

The second step to becoming an author, is to have the right tools.

Tools Needed

Besides a comfortable chair, plenty of lighting, and a quiet room, you will need a computer with a word processing program (e. g. , Microsoft Word), a printer, and plenty of paper.

Why a computer? First of all, publishers typically will request a copy of your files sent to them on a floppy disk. More importantly, working with a word processing program will aid you in many ways towards becoming a published author. It will provide the opportunity to save your work as a Word file, without having to use up tons of paper (as with a typewriter). This greatly aids you in keeping your work organized. It also gives you the flexibility to edit and re-edit large sections of your work quickly by allowing you to utilize the copy and paste functions.

Other advantages of using a computer word processing program is that it provides spell check capabilities, and also helps you count the number of words per page. In addition, when you want to spice up your vocabulary (For example, if you like to use the word “walk” often, and are getting tired of that word), place your cursor on the word “walk”, hit shift F7. It will give you a list of synonyms you can choose from – like stroll, amble, etc. ).

The time saved by using a computer is very valuable. It gives you more time available to write! Of course, if you don’t have the above materials, don’t let that stop you from writing that book! Using a pen and paper is perfectly fine. Books were written with these two basic tools for centuries.

Let’s assume you are using a computer and a Word processing software. First of all, before you begin writing, form a subdirectory that you can add all your chapters to. Maybe you know the title of your book already. Fine, then form a subdirectory using the name of the title. After you finish writing that first chapter (oh joy!), just save it as Chapter 1 under the subdirectory. If you are writing a book of poetry, then you might want to save each poem as a separate file.

When I write my chapters for my novel, I format them in double space mode, with a Times New Roman 11 font. All the margins are at least one inch. This way it will be ready for manuscript submission.

Try not to add your page numbers until the very last revision. Page numbers constantly change when you’re revising, so wait until the end.

So you need to balance your time in writing that book, honing your writing skills, submitting your work along the way for others to critique, and promoting yourself. Can you do it? Of course you can!

The third step to becoming an author is:

What to Write

If you are planning to write a novel, it would help to know what general category your book is going to be in. Will it be in the romance, mystery, or science fiction category? If you don’t know, take some time and think about it. Read some books in those genres. Which books seem to attract you the most? It’s highly likely that you’ll be writing in the category that you like to read. My preference is romance because I read those types of books the most. Once you decide the category, then you are closer to writing that novel!

For poetry, you might start by writing a poem and submitting it to a poetry journal, or a poetry contest. Gain exposure for your poetry. Join a critique group so you can sharpen your poetry skills. A chapbook usually consists of about 25-35 poems. For a poetry book, you’ll need at least 60 pages of poetry, if not more.

Types of Novelists

I have found over time, that there are two types of novelists. The first type is the writer who prefers drawing up a proposal or plan of what they will write about. The second type prefers to write whatever comes into their mind at that moment.

You decide which writer you will be.

Type 1 Novelist

They begin by describing the characters, their names, personalities, and sometimes their motives. Then they decide when and where the setting will take place. When will it take place? If it takes place before the 1900’s, then it will be considered historical. Also, will the setting be in the country, in a city (which city?), in a house (whose house), on a cruise ship? That needs to be defined also.

Once those decisions are made, they write brief sketches of each chapter. It could be a page or two long. Once all this is done, then the real writing begins. If this method works for you, then feel free to use it. It may take some time, but you will become more confident about what you’ll write once you go through this initial process.

Type 2 Novelist

What if you’re the type of person who doesn’t want to spend all that time writing proposals and character sketches? What if you’re like me, who prefers to just write whatever comes into your head? Then do it! Sit down and start writing. Write anything.

As the story develops, something wonderful begins brewing in your mind. Something called creativity. I’ve caught myself hours after I finished writing a chapter, and I’ll be preparing dinner, or walking somewhere, and a scene from my novel will begin to unfold. It’s called creative problem solving. My mind is working to solve the problem that the writing presents it, even though I’m not actively writing. When I get those urges, I immediately stop what I’m doing and jot down my thoughts. It’s helped me many times, particularly when everything clicks together.

How Long Will It Take?

It took me almost two years to write and find a publisher for my first novel, Lipsi’s Daughter. For other people, it may take longer or shorter, depending on the amount of time they allow for writing and how many pages they are writing. I know of authors that took six, seven, up to twelve years to write their first book. I also know of a famous author who writes two novels a year!

So unless you begin writing that first page of your book, you’ll never know how long it’ll take you to write it. Go ahead, make that first step, and good luck!

It has often been said that everyone likes humor and laughter on our planet. Well maybe not everyone, but almost every person who is normal will like humor provided someone else makes them laugh. And you can always enjoy reading a funny article or book written by somebody. But have you ever considered writing a funny article yourself, or maybe even write a funny book sometime? Even if you know how to write regular articles and books the very thought of writing something funny and showing it to others can turn your blood cold or make your hair stand straight. There are plenty of writers on our planet who can write countless topics in a serious, straightforward manner. But very few know how to add one magical component into their writing to make it more palatable and enjoyable. And that magical component is humor. If you want your writing to be enjoyed by your intended audience then you must add an acceptable dose of clean humor into it. It is the lack of humor that makes most articles and books tasteless even if it contains useful stuff. Writing about any serious topic you are familiar with is perhaps easy, but adding humor to it is very difficult and sometimes even dangerous if you take too many liberties. Hence you must learn some basic rules if you want to write humor and make your stuff enjoyable. And those top secret tips are outlined below.

1. The first rule for anyone who want to write humor is to become bold. Contrary to what most people think humor writers are actually very brave people. You need to develop a thick skin, nerves of steel and become brave slowly day by day. You cannot be funny if you are scared to poke fun at things, issues, people, etc. And you can’t be funny if you’re afraid of embarrassing yourself or lampooning a famous personality. Verbally anyone can be funny, but it takes guts to put the same in writing and let the public read, and maybe the entire world see it. So humorists need a lot of courage to write and publish something funny about an issue, person or a concept.

2. A humorous person has no limit on what he or she can think or write about. You must be able to think in atrocious, ridiculous, crazy, illogical and nonsense terms. Modern management consultants call this thinking out of the box, but I call it old fashioned creativity and humor that has existed from centuries.

3. What is important is that you should make your readers think what you have written is funny. But a person who writes humor you need not look funny, act funny or make goofy antics. You should become a person that nobody would suspect of writing funny and witty stuff. You can be a serious type of person and yet have the ability to write fantastic humor. This adds more spice and an aura of mystery to your personality.

4. Most people think writing humor is simply about saying and writing jokes about other people. But this is only partially true. Top humorists mainly make fun of themselves and not about someone. The best humor is always self directed. Direct the humor towards yourself that way you will not annoy anyone. People will laugh if you make fun of yourself, but they may be outraged if you make fun of them. The most important thing about writing humor is to allow your readers to laugh at you and with you, and then optionally at themselves.

5. Unless your article is for MAD magazine or a pure humor or satire piece with no restrictions, there are various do’s and don’ts that one should follow when writing humor. Don’t use bad language. Don’t make fun of religion, caste, race, physical disabilities, gender or language of anyone. Humor in these areas can start riots on the streets or even start a war. Don’t use real names of people, friends, relatives, co-workers, etc. You will never know how they may get offended. But no one will be offended if you focus on yourself.

6. When writing humor surprise your readers. That is, don’t tell or announce upfront about your funny intention. Don’t tell the reader that they will experience something funny. Let the reader discover that for himself. Use concise, direct and uses simple words that everyone can understand.

7. It is not funny to be always funny. There is a time to be funny and there is a time NOT to be funny. And this is something you need to observe and learn. Something that is extremely funny in one place may not be understood at all in another. Something that is funny on a rowdy football stadium may sound offensive inside a religious place. And in some situations or circumstances you should not indulge in anything funny no matter how irresistible it is to write something hanky panky.

8. A piece of writing can never be final and fully funny in one go. Like a diamond it needs to trimmed, improved and polished as much as possible. You need to review it in terms of using a better sentence, a more mischievous word, rearranging the sentences, modifying to a completely different angle or deleting something that does not seem right, etc. After you think you have finished writing a humor piece revisit it after a few hours or a couple of days. Suddenly you can discover new and better ways of writing the same article that can seem vastly superior to your previous article.

9. Think wild, think crazy but at the same time be moderate so that it does not put anyone, including yourself, in trouble. Often in your enthusiasm words and sentences can flow like a mad river and you may write something horrible that you momentarily think is funny or harmless. But it could be laced with trouble when reviewed carefully. So take care to frequently pause your writing to view it from different angles and from the reader’s perspective. Then you may need to give your writing a haircut and then continue.

10. The final piece of advice is writing humor takes time. To excel in humor is a lifetime job, and is not something that you can learn in a day or two. Don’t think you can read a joke book and start writing funny stuff an hour later. You will have to teach yourself how to be funny. The process is mostly by trial and error, observing other people’s comical situations, mistakes, laughing and applying it on yourself, etc. No one can teach you exactly how to write something funny, but the possibilities of creating humor on anything and everything are limitless.

Here are three tips to ensure that you do.

Want to write more? You can, even if you think you have “no time. ” Many writers write a book a year, in 20-minute sessions. Everyone has 20 minutes a day.

In this article, we’ll discover how you can make every writing minute count, so you can write whatever you want to write. You may well be surprised that you have much more time than you think you do.

So let’s assume that out of your busy life, you can carve 20 minutes a day for your writing. During those 20 minutes, you won’t browse news or shopping sites, or read your email: you’ll write.

Here are three tips to ensure that you do.

1. Set Process Goals, Because You Have Control of Them

You’re in control of your own writing process, so if you set process goals, you’re always assured of meeting them. A process goal may be to write an article a day, or 500 words of your novel, or a post on your blog.

You’ll have other goals for your writing of course, like getting published in Magazine X, or whatever, and you’ll need to map a path to achieving those goals.

However, unless you set and achieve your process goals, you won’t have any product to send to an agent or publisher, so those other goals are moot.

For many years I had a process goal of writing 1000 words a day. That became a habit, and although it’s no longer one of my process goals, I nevertheless scan my diary each evening and mentally tally up the number of words I’ve written that day.

So start today and set just one process goal, and decide that you’ll achieve it every day. Before you know it, that goal will be as much a part of you as every other habit you have, and you’ll be amazed at how much you write each week.

2. Writing Is a Process: Plan, Draft, Write

The best writing reads as a smooth mental transmission of ideas and images, but you can safely bet your nest egg on the fact that that the more easily a piece of writing reads, the more time went into its construction.

Writing is messy and chaotic; it’s a process consisting of planning, drafting, and finally writing. Most of my writing starts off as a mind map or cluster diagram. Then I write a very fast and careless draft. Finally I chop the draft to pieces and write a “first draft. ” Depending on what the project is, that draft may be the first one of many.

So use strategies like mind maps and index cards to plan your writing, and write drafts quickly. All writing is a process of discovery. The more you think on the page, the more writing you’ll do.

3. “Writing Time” Is Your Time – Close the Door, or Wear Headphones

If you write at home, close your office door. Make it clear to everyone in the house that your writing time is your time. If you don’t have an office at home, wear headphones.

Alternatively, write in a coffee shop, or in your car before you get home. You’ll find that your family, friends and colleagues will take your writing as seriously, if you do.

I hope I’ve inspired you to use just 20 minutes a day, and write. You can do it – start today.

A writer’s desire to put words into sentences, sentences into paragraphs and paragraphs into stories is by no means a mechanical process. It is a force to be reckoned with. You can’t create it, if it isn’t in you and you can’t get rid of it, if you’ve got the bug to write. But turning our vivid thoughts and imagination into solid form can be both challenging and inspiring. The style that you use will depend on whether you have chosen to write a fiction or non-fiction work.

Â

Before you even start writing your book, it is wise to do some research. Do you know if the topic you have in mind is hot right now? Are there similar books on the market and are they selling well? A good way to find out is by reading newspapers, magazines, newsletter and ezines that cater to writers. Join writer’s groups and forums, as well talk to other people in the writing and publishing field. It is wise to be sure you have a potential audience for your book ahead of time.

Â

FICTION WRITING

Fiction writing is base on imagination and if you have a good one, your story will be good. It can also be plot-driven, or based on an idea or concept. The thing to remember as we go through each aspect of fiction writing is that although your story is fantasy, it must still make sense.

Â

The next thing to consider is the physical setting of your story. It must be authentic enough to be believed and include everything from scenery, to atmosphere and perhaps even weather. These elements might have a profound affect on the actions or moods of your characters.

Â

For instance, does your story take place in a run down factory, a dance hall or spaceship? All of these evoke extremely different images. Then you need to ask yourself, do I want my setting to be simply a background or something more powerful?

Â

Choosing the right ‘point of view’ and ‘narrative voice’ for your story is also very important. Writing in the first person, gives the reader the impression that you are personally invested in your story. A third person ‘point of view’ is more detached.

Â

Time is another element that must be established. First of all, what time of day is it? Although you don’t need to specifically state that it’s 2 p. m. , your story must indicate through other details that it is mid-afternoon. Different time periods immediately create pictures in the minds of readers. For instance, there is a world of difference between Washington in 2006 and Boston in the 1800s.

Â

Next, the characters in your story must be considered. Are they the primary focus, rather than the plot? Who is the main character and how will you write your book to show that this person is the most important? A good way to answer these questions is to write down character outlines. Describe not only how they look, but also their character traits (strengths and weaknesses), personality, views and moods.

Â

Your main character will be the one who is most affected in the story and/or plays the biggest role. He or she will be the one with the most force of action, the biggest problem, the most painful hurt or seeking to accomplish the most tantamount goal. This is the character that you want your readers to know best, to perhaps identify with and to care about. Then unless you are placing yourself in the story, decide which character will tell the tale. This is the ‘viewpoint character’ and the reader will experience the story through this character’s eyes. It is also possible to have more than one ‘viewpoint character. ’

Â

Next, consider the plot or story line. How will you let the plot unfold in a natural way and follow it through to the end? Where and at what point will the climax occur? Will there by semi-climaxes as the story moves along and at what points? If you are writing a plot-based story, the intricacies of the plot will be what create the most interesting tale. This, of course, will take some planning. In this case, it helps to write out your game plan ahead of time.

Â

Dialogue is a vital aspect of any written work, as it can really bring out the personalities of your characters. It can also serve to fill in necessary information, without just stating it, it can be used to establish the time and place, and also to develop conflicts between characters. Whatever its purpose, writing dialogue is something that can be difficult to create, if you haven’t done it before. Don’t try to recreate actual conversations, as they’ll likely be very boring and annoying. For instance, most people repeat certain phrases and non-words like ‘um,’ ‘aha’ or ‘you see. ’

Â

I’m sure you’ve heard the term “double speak” at some point. In dialogue, it means that what your characters say and what they really mean are two different things. What are your characters saying “between the lines” or “subtext?” This can happen when one or more of your characters don’t really understand themselves or their own motivation. Showing a different side to a character through dialogue will tell the reader more about him or her than if you just outright said it. Knowing how to write this kind of dialogue can set you apart from other writers.

Â

Also if your character has a slang or accent, don’t overdo it. Dialogue should also flow, without a lot of ‘he said,’ ‘she said. ’ Also try to intersperse your conversations with associated actions. Finally, always remember to begin a new sentence each time another person speaks and put their words in quotations.

Â

NON-FICTION WRITING

Â

Non-fiction writing is based on reality, but is not necessarily factual. This genre includes recreations of true stories, biographies and autobiographies found in such things as books, magazines, newspapers, advertisements and reference books. You might also want to write a how-to book. There are many of them out there on everything from how to loose weight, dance, find the right mate and build a birdhouse, how to improve your golf game, learn to dance, read sheet music or improve your Internet marketing skills, start a business and even how to write.

Â

Non-fiction also includes medical, travel, space books and whole host of other texts. Obviously, the most important aspect of non-fiction writing is to write about what you know best. You must do your homework and become an authority on your subject matter.

Â

You must also have an angle or purpose. Why are you writing it? In answering that question, you must answer the questions: who, what, why, when and how. For instance, if you are writing on how to balance your budget, your purpose is to help people gain control over their finances. You must decide whether you are aiming at the poor, middle class or wealthy. What do they need to know and why? When should they begin their financial planning and how?

Â

For general non-fiction writing, you must decide on the right ‘point of view’ and ‘narrative voice. ’ For instance, if you are writing about a personal and painful experience of your own, you might want to present it in the first person. However, if you are not ready to tell the world it was ‘your’ experience, you will need to write it in the third person. If you’re writing an academic book, you might want to write in the third person in a ‘professor’s’ voice. If it is a book about a conspiracy, you might want to adopt a ‘suspicious’ tone.

Â

Next, choose your setting, which for non-fiction writing should be an actual place. If this is not possible, you will need to recreate the setting as closely as possible. Then establish the time element and your character outlines. Again, these must be factual or as close to it as possible. You must then decide on your characters and who is the primary character. What is the plot and how important is it? Will there be actual dialogue in your non-fiction book? If so, make sure that all words, expressions and accents are authentic in relation to the time element. What genre does your book fall into and are you being true to form for that genre?

Â

Finally, although your non-fiction book should be based on facts, you can be just as creative as a fiction writer to keep your writing from being too dry and boring. Don’t be afraid to spice it up a bit, but at the same time stick to the facts.

Â

**************************

Assuming that you know what genre or category your writing falls into, there are a few things to consider. You must be aware that there are certain conventions of structure, character and conversation that automatically come with specific genres. For instance, writers of science fiction often use the term “faster-than-light travel” or “warp speed. ” The sci-fi writer needs to know how and where such terms are used, if he or she intends to use them. In mystery writing, the plot generally begins with a discovery, such as a dead body and ends when the mystery is solved. A great way to become familiar with the conventions of your particular genre is to read similar books by other writers.

Â

There is much a beginning author needs to know about manuscript style, dealing with writer’s block, tricks to unleash the imagination, writing query letters and book proposals, using photos, the importance of editing and book covers, how to find a publisher and/or book agent, copyright, why you should get a literary critique, book contracts, marketing, advertising and so much more.

Article writing is the first part of the equation in article marketing. It is the part that directly determines if your marketing efforts succeed or fail.

Article writing is the creation of articles that are relevant to the subject matter of your site. This means creating articles with links to your site, and submitting them to article directories. Here they can be used by people as free content for their own websites.

Article writing is really a very small task when it comes to marketing, but it is a very important one. When you are not seeing the results you need in your business, start writing. Article writing is not about a particular style except your own. Use your own technique and say it in your own words.

Article writing is a great way to generate quality targeted traffic to a website especially when the reader finds the information valuable. You must therefore write as if you are the expert in your chosen field.

In order to make your article something a webmaster will want to publish, here are a few points to help you better sell your content.

For one, you’ll want to have an attention grabbing headline. The headline may in fact be the most important aspect of your story. After reading your headline people must be drawn to want to read more. Ask yourself some questions about your article: Find a headline that answers these questions in a way that summarizes the rest of the article. If you can make it clever and witty, so much the better. But don’t try to get too smart. Just be yourself.

Article Writing is more than just the ability to write without making grammatical errors or misspelling a lot of words. Article writing is a great way for webmasters to sell their thoughts and expertise for publication in many different internet arenas.

Not everyone who manages a website has the time or the talent to provide all of the written content. This is why there is such a demand for good solid ghost written text. Article writing is the best way to spread the word about your site, and establish you as an authority on a certain subject, or within your industry.

Writing your first article is probably the most difficult part of article writing. Article writing is a way to enter into a huge amount of different internet markets by using different keywords and key phrases.

Article writing is often considered a numbers game, the more articles you write the more likely it is that you will receive traffic to your website. It increases web site traffic and the number of back links to your website as people click on your resource links. Article writing is just one type of writing that can increase traffic and can be done online. If you are willing to take the time and make the effort to write, you can easily build an online business that will make you money for years to come.

Article writing is probably the best method of link building and more and more webmasters are following this approach. It’s free, it takes little time, it creates fresh content for the web, and it’s more rewarding than any other link building strategy.

Article writing is a definite way of getting free traffic. It is probably the favorite way of many marketers to generate traffic for their websites. Article writing is fun – and it’s easy too.

Search engines, particularly Google, set great store by one way links. They indicate to the search engine that your website is well thought off, and hence provides a good service to the search engine customers. Search engines love fresh and creative article content because the people who use their search engines demand it. Internet users want information and view it as one large database. Likewise, the search engines view it as resource for written material.

Web traffic is as important to an online business as content is to your website. It provides life and sustenance. Webmasters have a love-hate relationship with article submission. Some dread article submission because of the lengthy process of submitting manually to hundreds of article submission directories, others simply don’t have a flair for writing while others thrive on it.

Web articles are short, usually 500 to 1000 words, to the point and make their case quickly. They cannot be long-winded magazine-type articles. Web surfers scan pages, often choosing headline links almost subconsciously. Article writing is really a very small task when it comes to marketing, but it is a very important one. If you are not seeing the results you need in your business, start writing. Article writing is not about a particular style except your own. Use your own voice. Article writing is a great way to generate quality targeted traffic to a website especially if the reader finds the information valuable.

Normal writing checking software can’t match the quality of a manual proof read? Wrong. Punctuation writing software can now instantly simplify all of your writing tasks. punctuation writing software can make your life easier in many ways. punctuation writing software can now instantly simplify all of your writing tasks. Punctuation writing software uses a technology called NLP (Natural Language Processing), which reads your whole sentences in context, unlike an ordinary spell checker, which only words single words. Reading in context is important, because without context a spell checker can’t tell if you mean “their” or “there,” as both are words in English.

punctuation writing software is the patent-pending solution which automatically works with all text based tools, easily correcting all grammatical, spelling, punctuation or any other writing errors.

Use it for: Essay Writing, Medical writing, Article Writing, Creative Writing, Email, Instant Messaging, Business Writing, Letter Writing, Social Media, Blogging, Legal writing and much, much more.

For people who must write a great deal, whether for school or work, punctuation writing software can help to teach you to naturally improve your writing. It’s like having a virtual writing teacher built into your computer. English is actually not one of the easiest languages in the world, even for native speakers. Here are five ways it may be able to help you.

1. If you are in business and must send out correspondences, emails, reports and other information, you want your writing to be clear, correct and professional. This will enable people to better understand your communications. It will also improve your image as someone who writes well and clearly.

2. Punctuation writing software can help increase your creativity as a writer, as in addition to correcting mistakes, it also acts as a thesaurus and suggests different words, such as descriptive adverbs and adjectives. This makes your writing more interesting and versatile.

3. If English is not your first language but you have a need to communicate clearly in this language, this is the perfect solution for you. You can write down the basic ideas of what you need to say, while the software will read and correct your mistakes and suggest alternatives.

4. If you spend time rewriting or editing your reports or other correspondences, punctuation writing software can save you a lot of time by automating these tedious tasks.

5. When you make mistakes in your writing and people notice it, it can have a negative effect in the way they think of you. If you are in business, trying to sell something, attempting to persuade someone of something, or even if you are just writing social emails, isn’t it better to be seen as someone who is well educated and can write well.

When you write letters or emails, you can do so faster and with more confidence, as punctuation writing software will correct your mistakes and suggest better word usage, much like a thesaurus. If you have to do much writing, for any reason at all, punctuation writing software can help you to communicate faster and more effectively.

Writing templates are tools to help you with all of your different kinds of writing tasks. In our society, everything you have to write has its own format. Business letters, legal and medical documents, scripts and so forth all have their own format. If you don’t follow it, what you send out will not look professional. Yet it takes time to look up the format for what you have to write. If you specialize in one kind of writing, you can find the one that suits you. If you have to do many kinds of writing, you may want to get a variety of templates. If you are busy, you can take advantage of writing templates, so it’s all set up for you!

Business Writing Templates

Business letters and resumes are examples of business writing templates. You can easily send out professional looking documents using these.
English has become the universal language of business and international relations. It is now more essential than ever to be able to communicate effectively and accurately in English.
With any kind of business writing, you are trying to convince someone of something. You want the person reading the letter, report or email to buy something, subscribe to something or perhaps hire you for something. In any case, you have to get and keep their attention for at least a few minutes and hopefully get them to take action on your behalf.

Legal Writing Templates

If you are a legal professional or have the need to write legal documents, this is something you should consider.
If you need to write up legal letters or documents, you want to be sure they are in the right format. Legal writing software makes this easy by providing you with templates that are all set up for you to fill in.

Medical Writing Templates

The medical field is always growing, and many people have to write up documents that are involved with this since more and more people have to write medical documents.

Scriptwriting Templates

If you want to write a play or screenplay, you have to follow the right format. There are templates that can help you do this.

Academic or Student Writing Templates

You can also find templates to write reports, term papers, scholarly papers or even college admissions essays!

Everyday Writing Templates

If you write resumes or write many business letters, you may want templates that will ensure you use the right format. These can also be customized based on your specific needs.
Many people are generally good speakers and can think well on their feet but have trouble putting their words down on paper or on the computer screen. Their words often sound awkward, and their message does not get across. These people could benefit from using writing templates or a software that analyzes and improves their crafted documents.

Writing templates are not a substitute for your own creativity, but they can help you with the correct format. This saves you time and ensures that your document has the right look!

If you do any amount of writing, you may want to think about advanced writing software with built-in templates, which serves many functions that make your writing tasks easier.

A lot of people over the years have asked me “Why do you write?” I used to simply reply with “I write because it is just something I do. . . Why do I write? Well why do you breath?” Then one day, I got thinking. Why do I write? What sense of pleasure do I derive from it? I came up with a few reasons WHY I write and WHY everyone should at least attempt to write, even if the quality turns out to be not so good.

I have found that writing keeps me sane. Through tough times writing has been my rock. It has given me a medium to express myself. Writing is unique and different for everyone and people write in different ways. Some people write poems that rhyme, some write poems that don’t. Some write stories, some write simple sentences. Some people write music, others write songs. Some people write their feelings, and some people write about nothing in relevance at all. But still, we write.

Expressing yourself in any way is a good thing. The arts are very helpful for this. Through an art we can tell a story, we can SHOW people what we want to tell them. Writing is my art, It helps me express who I am. I find it hard to talk about my feelings face to face with someone but give me a pen and paper and I can turn my inner most feelings into words, transform them into something that they will understand. Through a pen I’ve got my voice.

The great thing about writing is that anyone can do it, regardless of culture, language, native tongue. We don’t even have to show what we write to anybody, but seeing something on paper can help to organise our thoughts.

When I was very young A wise person told me that if I was ever really mad at someone, before I act I should write it down. I should write how I feel and why I feel that way. Then once you’ve vented all your negitive thoughts onto paper you will feel much better. You find that you were irrationally mad or ticked off and there won’t be any tention because you didn’t march right over there and give that person a peice of your mind. You simply wrote down how you felt

This peice of advice has been helpful to me, because many times I have rushed to conclusions and in retrospect, I see that the fault was my own.

,.

All of famous quotes have come from someones free thoughts. Martin Luther-Kings “I have a dream”, William Shakespeares “All the worlds a stage” , Einstiens “Theory of reletivity” and even that cute quote whos author remain anonymous. All great things are born of someones free thought.

So, to answer the question, “Why do I write?” I write to be freed. I write to clear my mind. I write to have my say. I write to express myself. I write, because it makes me happy.

I think that everyone should try to give writing a go. It doesn’t have to be good, and it doesn’t have to rhyme, just write your feelings, express yourself. Let yourself go, free your inhibitions and you might surprise yourself with what you can come up with.

I’ll leave you now, with one of my favourite quotes:
